Loads to supply

Select the supply needed by the loads, not just your meter. A three-phase supply does not mean every appliance is three-phase.

Additional power at start-up, above the continuous load already entered. Use equipment data; leave empty if unknown. Enter 0 only if there is no additional start-up demand. Duration and VA still need checking.

Assumptions: the initial size is based on continuous single-phase loads. Start-up increases are assessed separately; their duration and the model’s surge capability must be checked. Unknown phase type, three-phase loads or a requirement above 12 kW need an individual assessment.

Understand this estimate

Continuous power depends on simultaneous loads. Starting surge is a separate requirement with a duration: adding it to loads does not certify compatibility. Supply type needs verification; exceeding 12 kW does not automatically imply three-phase.
